FORT THOMAS, KY, September 27, 2010
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Scott Moffitt has spent the last 14 years building his independent practice of financial advisers into one of the leading voices in the Greater Cincinnati financial services industry.
At Summit Financial Group (www.summitohio.com), the Cincinnati native and expert in college funding and finance steadily built a stable clientele and thriving practice, despite some of the most challenging times in history for money managers.
Moffitt's journey will soon enter a new phase with national implications, syndicating his toolbox of investment expertise, knowledge of higher-education finance, money management and financial advisory services through a licensed expansion program across the U.S.
COLLEGE PLANNING RELIEF GOES NATIONAL WITH SUMMIT NETWORK
Moffitt took his first step as a financial adviser in 1996, forming Summit Financial as a planning and financial services firm with an emphasis on families, particularly the tricky equation of higher-education finance and retirement security.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, he started Summit just three years into his career. He and his wife are actively engaged in the Greater Cincinnati business and financial planning communities.
NATIONAL NETWORK, EXPANSION COULD GENERATE UP TO $1.5M IN ANNUAL REVENUE
Moffitt recently held a national conference for CPR, a program he launched last year that could generate as much as $1.5 million in future annual revenues. By the end of this year, Moffitt anticipates establishing a 120-adviser network and as much as $750,000 in revenue.
"We work directly with families, parents who are searching for ways to select the absolute best educational alternative for their children, without going completely broke," Moffitt said.
"Upon my initial research into CPR, perhaps the biggest question I had in my mind was what kind of value would this bring to my practice," said Jim Agan of Jonesboro, Ark., owner of Town and Country Insurance and a licensed CPR adviser.
"You have to put this thing into context: in our industry, we have an exponential amount of people and marketing systems out there.
"After the first couple hours of training, I realized this was clearly not just another sales system. It's tangible. People can wrap their arms around the concept of investing in college tuition and themselves." Agan added.
"There is a tremendous need for parents to understand how college financial aid works. Every parent who's sending a kid to college, no matter what their income status is, can come to a workshop and gain value, even if they choose not to plan with us."
"The educational funding aspect can be a centerpiece of a family's financial strategy. We ask ourselves every day: what's more important, the education of our children, or the financial long-term needs of ourselves and my family's legacy," Moffitt continued.
Mr. Moffitt has been recognized by Cincinnati Magazine as one of Greater Cincinnati's top financial planning and money management firms; He is also a published author and former host of a financial services radio show.
