OPELIKA, AL, February 16, 2012
/24-7PressRelease/ -- CPR South, a local provider of health and safety training, will offer monthly classes on child and babysitting safety beginning in March of 2012. The Child and Babysitting Safety course is a community education course designed for young people, ages 11 to 15 years-old, who will be caring for children or infants. This course covers important topics such as basic first-aid, CPR and relief of choking, playtime and discipline. The Child and Babysitting Safety Course is a four-hour course and, upon completion, students will receive a certification card from the American Safety and Health Institute.
In the past, CPR South has provided first-aid and CPR training for the community, but this is the first course they have offered with an emphasis on babysitting safety. "There is a great measure of trust given to a young person when they are responsible for the well-being of someone's child. We are excited to provide a course that will give them the knowledge and tools to warrant such trust," says Randy Boone, Owner of CPR South.
CPR South will provide the Child and Babysitting Safety course as well as CPR and first-aid courses one Saturday a month at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce on E. Glenn Ave. The cost for the course is $45 and includes the student handbook and certification card.
Anyone interested in more information or registering for a class can go to http://www.auburncpr.com or contact CPR South at (877) 242-2527.
