The American Association for Justice (AAJ, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of American (ATLA)), founded in 1946, is the world's largest trial bar. Its goal is to promote a fair and effective justice system and to help attorneys face off against the most powerful opponents, such as insurance companies, to ensure a fair trial for injured persons. As part of this mission, the AAJ provides many resources to trial lawyers. These resources include informal list servers, document libraries, and litigation groups. At its February 2009 meeting held in New Orleans, LA, the AAJ decided to form an AED Litigation Group to facilitate information exchange on this increasingly important area of litigation. The AAJ named Craig Goldenfarb chairperson of the AED Litigation Group. His term lasts one year, and his responsibilities include conducting meetings of the AED Litigation Group at the AAJ's annual and semi-annual conventions. He is also responsible for ensuring that AED Litigation Group members have access to the most recent information on this form of litigation, nationwide.
