Clients may submit their research requests using the "Custom Research Services Form" provided on the company's Web site, http://www.cronealconsultinggroup.com/researchform.html. The form asks potential clients to provide their contact information, explain in detail the type of research they are seeking, and the time frame in which they would like for the research project to be completed.
Upon receipt of the research request, a company representative reviews the request and responds within five business days as to whether the project can be undertaken. If the project can be completed, the prospect is provided with an electronic contract accompanied by the company's proposed fee. The prospect ultimately decides whether to accept the company's proposal and, if it is accepted, the prospect will be directed to a page where it is required to pay half of Croneal's costs to complete the project.
"When we decided to add this research component to our list of services and products, we did so to fill a void in the market," said Alexis Scott, product development manager for Croneal Consulting Group. "Most companies and individuals either lack the research staff to complete in-house research or are preoccupied with more important job tasks outside the realm of research."
While there is generally no limit on the scope and the kinds of topical areas that Croneal may research, Scott did add that the company's research focus was primarily statutory and regulatory in nature and in the political area. For instance, a recent research request asked for a survey of states mandating ethics training for lobbyists.
Scott advises clients to be aware of the limitations of Croneal's services. A disclaimer on the company's Web site cautions clients to understand that all research is preliminary in nature and not a substitute for a legal counsel where one is obviously needed.
