DARDENNE PRAIRIE, MO, March 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Physicians across the United States are striving to learn all they can about the transition to electronic health records, and the meaningful use requirements that will allow them to qualify for federal reimbursement dollars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Curas, Inc., the top reseller of eClinicalWorks' electronic health records and practice management solutions, recently took part in the eClinicalWorks Meaningful Use Road Show in St. Louis, a program designed to review all 25 requirements for Meaningful Use, as well as processes for adoption and qualification.

eClinicalWorks was among the first EHR solutions to receive meaningful use certification, and its client was the first in the nation to receive a federal reimbursement check for the successful transition to electronic health records. As the number one reseller for eClinicalWorks, Curas participated in the St. Louis stop of the tour on February 25, where they hosted a large crowd made up of nearly 90% Curas clients.

"eClinicalWorks has been on the forefront of the electronic health records movement," said Num Pisutha-Arnond, Managing Partner at Curas. "They've been very involved with the standards bodies, and have committed to continuous improvement of their software solutions in order to quickly respond as the market and standards change."

Because qualification for meaningful use standards involves the incorporation of the EHR system in the practice, planning and implementation are critical. Curas begins each implementation with a full understanding of the practice, the overall workflow, and each staff member involved. From there, they create the system that will allow the practice to become operational on the new platform as quickly as possible. This process has allowed Curas to enjoy a 99% success rate in eClinicalWorks implementations, versus the industry-wide success rate which is estimated at 27%.

Curas has implemented eClinicalWorks for over 700 physicians in more than 30 states since the firm was established in 2004.
