The event will take place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov 1 at the Livingston Student Center at Rutgers University, 84 Joyce Kilmer Ave. Piscataway, New Jersey.
Each year, the SDDC Annual Conference hosts more than 300 attendees, representing New Jersey's largest utilities, prime contractors, and diverse business owners. This year, the SDDC will honor our nation's veterans with a color guard salute and acknowledgments.
Dr. Randal Pickett, entrepreneur, speaker, author, scholar, and winner of the fourth season of NBC's The Apprentice, will be the keynote speaker at this year's conference. He will be discussing how to become successful in today's marketplace.There will also be several panel discussions on topics ranging from supply chain management to corporate cybersecurity.
During the conference, utilities will share procurement opportunities, and business owners in attendance will gain valuable insight on how to strategically position their businesses before utilities and primes.
The SDDC Annual Conference will offer individual matchmaker meetings. Individual matchmaker meetings will pair select attendees so that business owners can present their products and services directly to utilities and their prime contractors.
Utilities that will be represented at the conference include AT&T, Verizon, PSE&G, FirstEnergy, New Jersey Natural Gas, Elizabethtown Gas, and others. Primes represented include IBM, Henkels & McCoy Inc., Wesco, Elecnor Hawkeye LLC, Safeway, Railroad Construction Company, Ferreira Construction Co.
