NEW CANAAN, CT, November 24, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Dana Surena-Mattson, Speech Language Pathologist and Orofacial Myologist, was named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Speech Rehabilitation on December 4, 2008 and qualified for repeat recognition on August 18, 2009. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Dana Surena-Mattson has an impressive background in Speech-Language Pathology. She has 12 years of professional experience and owns a successful private practice where she specializes in Oral-Motor, Orofacial Myology, PROMPT, accent reduction and treating professional voice users with laryngeal pathology. Ms. Surena-Mattson is currently creating a state-of- the-art center for children with disabilities. Recipient of the Advanced Continuing Education Award in 2003 and 2009, she notes that she became involved in her profession due to a deep desire to give children the gift of speech and eating. She attributes her success to her personal drive for excellence, her love for her profession and her familial support. She considers making a difference in the lives of others to be the most gratifying aspect of her career.

Ms. Surena-Mattson, a New York and Connecticut licensed Speech Pathologist and trained Orofacial Myologist, PROMPT and Hanen clinician, holds a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University (1997); a Bachelor's Degree in Drama and Anthropology from Franklin and Marshall College (1992) and is a trained classical singer.
