Honing in on more than five decades' worth of varied professional experience, Mr. Trent currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of such companies as Action Development Inc. and Artec Inc. His resume is unsurpassed, including time spent as acting, deputy and executive director of the Office of Emergency Management, as well as extensive work for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Impressively, much of his career has been spent in service to presidential campaigns and transitions; from 1968 to 1969, Mr. Trent worked as staff director for personnel and advisor for presidential transition, going on to work as director of office policy coordination for presidential transition from 1980 to 1981, and senior advisor on transportation and budget for the presidential transition in 2000. He served as a research writer for Nixon for President in 1968 and as a deputy assistant to President Nixon from 1969 to 1970. As his career progressed, Mr. Trent worked as deputy campaign manager and consultant for the Reagan-for-President Committee and deputy campaign manager for Citizens for Reagan, ultimately becoming senior policy advisor for the Reagan-for-President Committee in 1980. He has since worked as deputy and acting secretary of the United States Department of Transportation and United States chairman and ambassador to the European Civil Aviation Committee, and has served the United States government in copious other capacities.

Mr. Trent earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1961, following this degree with postgraduate work at the Hague Academy of International Law and at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In 1964, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. His early occupational credentials include owner and manager of Trent Enterprises, CEO of assorted Kansas food distributors and commissioner of property management and disposal services for the General Services Administration. Throughout his career, Mr. Trent has authored several influential works, including "The U.S. and Transnational Terrorism" and "Transportation: Policy, Goals, Accomplishments," and co-authored "Terrorism: Threat, Reality, Response," along with contributing a number of articles to varied publications.

Devoted to active civic involvement, Mr. Trent was the deputy chairman of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation from 1985 to 1988. He was also on the board of directors of the Foundation for Teaching Economics from 1988 to 1990 and on the board of regents of Pepperdine University from 1985 to 1992. Mr. Trent maintains membership with the Bohemian Club, and his unsurpassed contributions to his field have been noted through his listings in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Politics, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World.
