WAYNESBORO, VA, January 26, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dascom Americas, a recognized leader in complete business printing solutions and marketer of Tally and Tally Dascom serial printers formerly marketed by TallyGenicom Corporation(R), is pleased to announce a trade in rebate program designed specifically for current users of IBM/InfoPrint industrial segment serial matrix printers such as the 4247, 4234, 4230 and 4224 among others.

Under terms of the new program, customers may be eligible to receive a $150 rebate and 5 free ribbons (a total value of $340) on each serial printer trade-in when replaced with a high speed Tally 4347-i08 or Tally 4347-i10 printer between now and June 30, 2012.

As reported on the InfoPrint website, Ricoh Production Print Solutions (RPPS) announced the withdrawal from marketing of its workgroup, industrial and cut sheet machines, effective December 30, 2011, with the exception of the C900AFP model.

The Tally 4347 i-Series machines are positioned to be a long term solution for much of this InfoPrint vacated market since they are compatible with a wide range of IBM systems using interfaces and protocols developed and tested in many worldwide installations.

According to Ron Rochelle, Tally 4347 i-Series Program Director; "The Tally 4347 models offer standard ethernet and parallel interfaces, but also have the option for Coax/Twinax SCS, Coax/Twinax IPDS or Ethernet IPDS. This choice provides current users in the IBM environment with a solution today for many applications, and perhaps best of all there is a long term commitment from Dascom to serve this market well into the future with product readily available to ship today."

The rebate program also includes free ground freight within the continental U.S. for both new machines shipped out on the replacement as well as freight back on the printer being traded back in to Dascom. This combination of a $150 rebate, plus five free ribbons ($190 value) and the comprehensive freight program makes the trade-in a very viable and attractive option for users in this market segment who want an easy migration to a technology that will continue to be supported with new equipment for many years to come.

Dascom Americas distributes the Tally 4347-i Series through a very select network of Distribution Partners who have experience serving the IBM marketplace.
