The agreement with Datacraft plays an important part in the company's restructuring plans to provide more customer-focused services, greater management effectiveness and improved business competitiveness. As part of this efficiency drive, Datacraft was chosen as the sole vendor responsible for maintaining network infrastructure within the company's six newly consolidated business groups: Corporate and Investment Banking, Financial Markets, Consumer Finance, Wealth Management, Investment Management and Insurance.
An aggressive company that started as an insurance business in the 60s, it has since grown into a diversified financial services organisation offering a comprehensive range of banking, investment and securities services. Besides expanding its coverage in Taiwan, the company is also extending its regional footprint to Hong Kong, Vietnam, and more recently China.
The partnership between Datacraft and the financial client began in 2007, during the early stages of the organisation's restructuring when an island-wide MPLS-ready data backbone was set up to provide secure internal communications among the various company business units.
