/24-7PressRelease/ - Jerome, ID, August 1, 2008, Dave J. Richey, Building Official and Code Compliance Officer in the Building Department for the City of Jerome, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of code compliance.

With more than 19 years of professional experience, Mr. Richey specializes in code enforcement and is responsible for budgeting, reviewing plans, organizing engineering and architectural seminars, and overseeing fire code inspections. He previously held a position as a city worker and progressed to his current position. Mr. Richey considers becoming the building official for the city to be his greatest professional accomplishment.

Mr. Richey is a high school graduate and affiliated with the International Code Council and the Idaho Association of Building Officials. He received service certification through the International Code Council and is the recipient of Commercial Building Inspector Certification, Residential Building Inspector Certification as well as Plans Examiner Certification Fire Service Award. Mr. Richey stays current with the trends in his profession by enrolling in continuing education courses and reading Building Safety Journal. He feels that changes in building codes to be the most important issue facing his profession today. Mr. Richey hopes to one day become a planning and zoning administrator.
