Ms. Salvador has 25 years of professional experience, three of which have been in her current position with the United States Postal Service. She notes that she became involved in her profession after being inspired by an article she read about a mail carrier. Ms. Salvador considers serving in a temporary detailed station to be the highlight of her career and attributes her success to her positive attitude. Prior to attaining her current position, she worked as a political liaison for the National Association of Letter Carriers and had the opportunity to meet the members of the House of Representatives and Senate, as well as presidential candidates, to discuss postal issues.
In 2008, Ms. Salvador was recognized as the Professional of the Year in Postal Services by Cambridge Who's Who. She is a member of the National Association of Postal Supervisors and is a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Combined Federal Campaign for Federal Employees and Toastmasters International. She aspires to become a station manager in Tucson or a postmaster for a small town in the surrounding area.
In addition to her work with the United States Postal Service, Ms. Salvador sells residential real estate properties and recently earned the designation of SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist).
