Debt Free League Review on Debt Relief Options Alleviates Unemployment, Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Woes

Massive unemployment and foreclosures question if the recession has ended. A 60 Minutes video reports California's unemployment is actually 22%. However, Debt Free League helps those considering bankruptcy to explore available debt relief options.

SAN DIEGO, CA, November 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rampant unemployment is drowning the country. A shocking 60 Minutes video reports the 9.5% national unemployment actually at 17%, and in California, where it was at 12.4% in September, at 22%. As no surprise, California has been plagued with lingering foreclosures. Due to widespread panic many that fear the recession hasn't ended are considering bankruptcy. Helping ease the tension, Debt Free League announced recent improvements to their debt relief service.

The debt management company feels Americans' economical pains: the company is located in San Diego County, where, as of October, 14,500 homes were in the process of foreclosure.

So do numerous communities in California...

According to RealtyTrac, foreclosure filings increased in Vallejo (45%), Los Angeles, where they are nearing 49,000, and in the Riverside and San Bernardino area, where they nearly doubled. Modesto, Stockton, and Merced in Central Valley California, recorded a 62% increase.

"So many people that are struggling to pay bills and keep their homes are being forced into bankruptcy", declares Dio Lugo, a Debt Free League representative.

According to federal bankruptcy court, as of September 2010 in Orange County, California, bankruptcies jumped 37.2% - the highest number since October 2005. The meteoric rise of bankruptcy filings is expected to continue as the scarcity of job opportunities remains at an all-time high.

Complicating matters, 1/3 of the unemployed have been without work over a year - a record that has not been repeated since the great depression.

Lugo is the perfect poster child. Prior to working at Debt Free League, she had been out of work for 16 months and was stressed by the anxiety of bills piling up.

Now that the $100 billion footed by taxpayers for extended unemployment benefits has dried up, millions without jobs continue in her former predicament.

At best, Americans are hopeful. Some pray for Republicans, after gaining control over the House of Representatives, to finally pull together with President Obama in helping the jobless.

In the interim, California shows no signs of economic optimism. As reported by the Business Forecasting Center at the University of the Pacific, the state's unemployment rate is predicted to continue over 10% for three more years.

Amid the stagnant recovery, Debt Free League mobilized their debt relief services to help families hurt by a shortage in their household incomes.

Urgently confronting California's unemployment and foreclosure crisis, the company offers people the ability to compare debt consolidation, and debt settlement (a.k.a., debt negotiation) firms as well as national bankruptcy services.

The outcome of their unique service is to help people find the best rates and best debt elimination program depending on their actual situation.

Lately, as a convenience to consumers, Debt Free League representatives have been making house calls and assisting people at their local Starbucks. The benefit is a great money saver on gas, and has been a blessing for people with busy schedules.

"If you are behind on bills, give us a call for a free consultation. Based on your financial situation, we'll help you compare up to four debt management programs", adds Lugo.
