According to Usab, weight loss issues and weight loss surgery in particular can often be clouded by a lack of comprehensive education about the practice of Bariatric medicine.
"Bariatrics is an entire medical specialty that deals with the causes, prevention and treatment of obesity, " said Usab. "Diet, exercise, behavior therapy and anti-obesity drugs are all components of bariatric weight loss treatment -components that are fully explored before actual weight loss surgery is introduced as an option."
Making this information accessible and easy to digest is one of the primary goals of the website re-imagining, Usab says. "We do some pretty amazing things here—not just with weight loss, but with minimally invasive general surgery, and advanced approaches to breast services. It was time for us to put a better foot forward with our on-line education," stated Usab.
