/24-7PressRelease/ -- DeJarnette Research Systems, Inc. of Towson, Maryland announces the release of xDL (Cross-Enterprise Document Librarian) version 3.3. This release provides a five fold improvement in performance over version 3.2. A single instance of xDL v3.3 running on an inexpensive Windows Server platform has the ability to store and register image data received from up to 20 image sources simultaneously in real time, while supporting an enterprise study volume of 1 million studies annually. xDL v3.3 supports HP MAS, IBM GMAS and EMC Centera storage platforms. Rollout of xDL v3.3 to xDL customers began March 1st.
At the same time xDL v3.4 beta has entered testing at DeJarnette clinical partner beta sites. Version 3.4 provides support for Caringo's CAStore content addressable storage, support for CIFS and local attached storage. xDL v3.4 is scheduled for a late May 2010 release. Future releases will support Hewlett Packard's IBRIX enterpriseclass scalable file storage solution and additional 'cloud storage' protocols.
