design{makes me}happy Celebrates Second Anniversary With 24-Hour Designathon for Area Non-Profit Organizations -- Applications Now Being Accepted
design{makes me}happy just turned two. In honor of their anniversary, the firm is holding a 24-hour, pro-bono design marathon on June 3 to benefit six lucky organizations. Submission deadline is May 22, 2009 by 5:00 p.m.

    ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA, April 29, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- design{makes me}happy, full-service boutique-style studio dedicated to supplying clients with personalized service, is celebrating its second anniversary by hosting a 24-hour, no-stopping, no-sleeping, pro-bono creative designathon to benefit area non-profit organizations. The event will take place on June 3, 2009 and will enlist the services of design{makes me}happy's talented professionals to meet the needs of the non-profits selected this year.
The firm is now accepting applications available at http://www.designmakesmehappy.com. Completed applications may be submitted via fax, mail or in person through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009. design{makes me}happy will choose a total of six non-profit organizations to benefit from its designathon event. The six selected organizations will be notified on May 27, 2009.
"We really want to give back to the community and are extremely excited to help fill what can be an overwhelming need for non-profits in our community," says Jennifer Kallas, designer and partner of design{makes me}happy. "Our goal is raise the level of their marketing and communications messages, which can really lend a hand in fund raising efforts and awareness of their individual causes."
Work produced during the pro-bono creative blitz includes conceptual development and design on projects such as logos, business cards and stationery packages, brochures, t-shirt graphics, invitations, website ads or banners, fliers, posters, postcards, and other projects that can be completed within the 24-hour time period or less. All projects will be turned over to the organizations as "press ready."
Printing is not included, however design{makes me}happy will provide contact information for local print shops and related vendors.
