/24-7PressRelease/ -- After months of preparation, Diabetic Rockstar, in partnership with American Diabetes Wholesale, has officially launched their "New Member Welcome Kits". The announcement coincides with November being World Diabetes Awareness Month, and comes just in time for World Diabetes Day this Saturday. These new kits each include sample diabetes-management products and a blood-glucose testing meter, and are available to members of Diabetic Rockstar's online social networking community at no cost.
"We're very excited to launch these kits," says Christopher Thomas, founder and president of Diabetic Rockstar Inc., "As an organization we strive to help diabetics, especially the uninsured, and being able to offer people a complimentary testing meter, and everything else included, for free, is a huge step forward towards achieving our charitable goals. To launch it during Diabetes Awareness Month is an added bonus!"
Diabetic Rockstar Inc. is a non-profit corporation, and the namesake website, http://www.diabeticrockstar.com, is a social networking community for those affected by diabetes. The Welcome Kits will include information on the organization and partner American Diabetes Wholesale (ADW), Diabetic Rockstar branded merchandise, sample diabetes products, coupons and a glucose testing meter. Kits will be mailed directly from ADW on a weekly basis.
The organization hopes diabetics will take advantage of the kits.
"We are one of several online diabetes companies taking part in the 'Big Blue Test' on World Diabetes Day. Between that event and this new offer, I really hope that we encouraging people to test their blood sugar more and take good care of themselves," says Thomas.
This is not the first collaborative venture between Diabetic Rockstar and American Diabetes Wholesale. After inception of the organization in 2007, ADW donated over $13,000 worth of testing meters to Diabetic Rockstar for the Fight It! charity campaign. The two also worked together on the 2009 "Diabetic Rockstar Charity Cruise" on Carnival Cruise Lines and the newly launched American Diabetes Wholesale "Glucostories" project.
