Diabetics To Touch 325 Million By 2025
Obesity and inactive lifestyle plus a few other factors, will take the number of diabetic patients, all over the world, to an alarming 325Mn by the year 2025.

Out of the total 165Mn diabetic patients across the world, about 18Mn are in USA alone. Approximately 5% of these patients suffer from Type 1 diabetes, primarily caused by the destruction of insulin producing cells (the islet cells). However rest of them have Type 2 diabetes, characterized by abnormal insulin secretion and/or insulin resistance.
