Diana WeiPing Ding Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Broadcasting & Media Production

Accomplished television personality Diana WeiPing Ding is using a bilingual approach to cultivate her network Ding Ding TV to serve as a cultural bridge between the United States and China

SANTA CLARA, CA, June 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diana WeiPing Ding, the Chief Executive Officer of Ding Ding TV and the Host and Producer of the talk show "Innovation Dialog", was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

With a very small budget and garage lights bought from Home Depot, Ms. Ding and her husband used a small home video camera to record her first show. Ms. Ding faced difficulties every day as she was first starting out, but she always saw the meaning and value in what she was creating. She could accept failure, but she could not accept not trying. Determined to show the world her potential, it became her mission to show what she could give to her country, not what she could take.

Fast forward to today and Diana WeiPing Ding is an award-winning and innovative program director, radio and television personality who has interviewed more than 6,000 people throughout her more than 10 year media career. She is also the founder of the first Chinese American Internet TV, Ding Ding TV, in Silicon Valley as well as the creator of the first Chinese women's and children's TV show in the Bay Area.

Since 2009, Ms. Ding has produced over 2000 TV programs which touch on all aspects of San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley liv¬ing, including technology and innovation, arts and culture, as well as health and finance. To date, these shows have aired on the Internet, Comcast chan¬nel 172, DTV 38.2, 38.3 and more and have reached 900,000 plus San Francisco Bay Area households and an audience of over 70,000 viewers in Silicon Valley on the Internet. The network has also published more than 150 e-newsletters delivering Ding Ding TV program and tech news to thousands of email accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ding Ding TV was the number one Chi¬nese language site on Livestream with over four million viewer min¬utes through 2011. It is also reaching a fast growing audience through its multi-platform approach delivered through multiple channels, including local TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, the Ding Ding TV website and other portals such as Sina.com, China partners, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and more. Ding Ding TV is famous for its branding talk show "Innovation Dialog", which covers high technology and innovation and airs on local TV stations, the internet and China High Tech Parks.

Ms. Ding credits her success to her training and community work and became involved in her profession while working as a program director at a TV station. Having already developed close ties with local Chinese communities in promoting cultural events and charitable works, Ms. Ding realized a need to provide low cost, high quality, efficient video production services to viewers in her area. She aspires to promote multi-cultural values, stating that much is lost in translation between languages.

Since then, Ms. Ding has earned fame as the host and producer of "Amazing Diana", a well-known family oriented Chinese nightly talk show that targets people in the greater bay area and which is seen by thousands of people. She is also the creator of "Future Talk", a show which features leading edge guests and whose premise is to show how technology is changing the world at a very rapid pace. The program offers advice on what people can do to extract the maximum benefits from technology while minimizing the possibility of harm to communities everywhere.

In addition to producing, hosting and managing all aspects of her business, Ms. Ding continually develops and promotes the Ding Ding TV brand through marketing and advertising efforts. Her husband, Wesley Zhang, who has supported her efforts from the beginning and continues to do so, personally designed the company logo and stands by Ms. Ding as she participates in Chinese cultural events from the Bay Area to Sacramento to promote the station. Ms. Ding also developed Children's Radio & TV Academy, a program which allows youth to demonstrate their talents, adds variety to Ding Ding radio and TV shows and expands the influence of the station. In an effort to reach as many people as possible, she is planning to brand Ding Ding TV across the globe to reach an enormous Asian audience.

Ms. Ding's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in English from Qinghai College and a certification in trade and business from Foreign Trade University in Beijing. An active member of her community, she belongs to the Rotary Club of Cupertino, the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce and Convention-Visitors Bureau as well as serves as a board member for the Organization of Chinese American Women. In 2006 she was awarded the Asian American Hero Award in Santa Clara and in 2005 she received the ward for Best Radio Program from the Northern California Chinese Media Association.

Looking forward, Ms. Ding hopes to make Ding Ding TV the most influential Chinese American television station in the world and create a place where professionals may collaborate and where more people, especially immigrants, can be involved in her efforts to bring people closer together. She believes that creating internet content is very important for the future and that it is important for minority media to have integrity and passion. For Ms. Ding, the Asian media has a responsibility to cater to the immigrant community, and feels she has a responsibility to put together something positive and encouraging so they can learn and feel accepted. Thinking internationally, she also intends to expand her work to give people in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong the same opportunity to connect on a cultural level.
