Diane Shawe Named a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Online Training Services

Diane Shawe's e-Learning Company Leads Students to Professional Success

LONDON, ENGLAND, January 19, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diane Shawe, M.Ed., IEBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Academy of Vocational and Professional Training Ltd., has been named a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

As the chief executive officer of the Academy of Vocational and Professional Training Ltd., which provides online fast-track training courses, Ms. Shawe utilizes her expertise in education and business administration to oversee individual, one-on-one, group and corporate training. In addition, she ensures that staff members are reporting and achieving and that the business is meeting its target of student recruitment. Ms. Shawe also manages the quality of training, company finances and front-end marketing, while also maintaining the business profile. She has been in the educational field for the last 15 years and has successfully led her company for the past five.

In addition to handling her day-to-day responsibilities with flair, Ms. Shawe has published several books, including "Getting Started in the Hair Extension Business," "Dieting Dilemma," "How to Cyber Kiss your Business to Success," and "100 Ways to Generate Quick Emergency Cash." She believes that people should try to integrate the following practices into their daily lives: "Take ownership of your pain, disappointment and fears. Write them down, get to know them and then make a plan of action to manage them. Also, take ownership of your dreams, desires, wishes and happiness. Write them down, get to know them and then make a plan of action to draw them closer and keep them real. And lastly, never do anything as though you are a professional amateur."

Attributing her success to seeing what her role models have achieved and believing that she can achieve equal or greater, Ms. Shawe became involved in her profession because of her experience working in the government department of employment. There, she was the head of training, responsible for identifying courses for people who needed employment and getting those courses accredited. She found that the front-end work was bogged down with paperwork, reports and

procedures, and students lost motivation. This led her to examine what she would like if she needed a job, and what would be attractive to her.

In 2003, Ms. Shawe gave up serving as managing director of a French company and started her own business training hairdressers in over 15 different hair extension techniques. In 2009 her company became registered as a UK Training Provider, which is now published through the UK Hotcourses directory. The highlight of her career was helping to change the attitude of an 11-year-old girl who was being bullied at school for having no hair. Ms. Shawe was invited by ITV to do a surprise makeover, and for the first time the girl could comb her hair, wash and blow-dry it; this inspired her to wear her first-ever dress.

Ms. Shawe earned a Master of Education from Corllins University earlier this year. Three years ago, she received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the same school. She holds a Higher National Diploma in business studies and an RSA 1, 2 & 3 in business administration. In addition, she has a certificate to teach in the lifelong learning sector. In 2003 she won the Black Business European Woman of the Year Award conferred. Diane has been winning awards for some time, because in 1976 whilst at her secondary Girl School, she won a Cook of the Year Award. Ms. Shawe is very involved in the business community and holds membership to numerous organizations, including the Institute for Education Business Excellence (IEBE) and the IEEE. Diane is also one of the Embassadors for the exclusive Pink Shoe club in Westminster, London and the Communications Officer for the Conservative Executive Committee Disability Group. In the near future, she hopes to position her company for the 22nd century online and fast track affordable training. She also hopes to change the pace of online training, increasing its efficiency and effectiveness.
