    HAUPPAUGE, NY, January 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, will host a panel of distinguished state and local elected officials to discuss the state of the Long Island business economy during the organization's Business Luncheon and Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM at the Melville Marriott. "In the current economic environment, Long Island business owners are very interested to hear from experts about the business impact of decisions from Albany and Washington," said Terri Alessi-Miceli, President of HIA-LI. "And with an invited panel that includes a U.S. senator, two county executives, and a number of town supervisors, we expect a full house."

The outstanding list of invited panelists includes U.S. Senator Charles "Chuck" Schumer, Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, and Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy, Jr., Babylon Town Supervisor, Steve Bellone, Islip Town Supervisor, Phil Nolan, Huntington Town Supervisor, Frank Petrone, Brookhaven Town Supervisor, Mark Lesko, Smithtown Town Supervisor, Patrick Vecchio, and Suffolk County Commissioner of Economic Development and Workforce Housing, Yves Michel. The panel will be moderated by Jack Kulka, CEO of Kulka Construction, one of the founding members of HIA-LI, its first president and a lifetime board member.
