Since its release, Endangered Species has received over 30,000+ downloads affirming that artists Prophet, Six Reasons and producer Deep Watters are here to stay.
DJ Skee who has DJ'd and produced for popular artists such as Jay-Z, Akon and Bay Area bred Ya Boy, hosts the Endangered Species project. Amid 21 insane tracks produced by Deep H2OZ, Teruo Artistry stakes its claim in the mixtape world and rightfully so. On tracks such as "Respect My Fresh", artist Prophet proclaims his lyrical ability and Bay Area freshness with lines like: "I'm in the building and I'm feeling like Yee/AR-15 don't run up on 'P'/Mission & sixteenth to cop more leaf/Then I'm back in the streets/I'm a mutha****** beast!"
"We wanted to get music back to where it was," says Six Reasons. "Nowadays, the love for music is not required which is why I believe sales are down and people aren't purchasing music. When creating this album in mind, we wanted it to be real, feel real and sound real."
"As diverse as music is, you barely hear it on the radio," states Prophet. "We were tired of hearing the same songs released by the same artists. We hope that with this project, we have inspired true artistry to take its rightful place in music once again."
Recently, Teruo Artistry released its fall men and women's clothing collection that can be found in boutique stores around the country; in addition, Six Reasons' new single, "Jet Blue" is currently spinning on Los Angeles' Power 106-FM.
