/24-7PressRelease/ - HOLLYWOOD, FL, August 24, 2008 - Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist Dr. David Kenigsberg cares about the community. After a full week of work at his newly expanded practice located at 350 NW 84th Avenue in Plantation, he provides hours of night time and weekend work for those who are indigent.

Every Wednesday, Kenigsberg visits with 30-40 indigent patients at the Broward General Pacemaker and Defibrillator Clinic located on the 1st Floor of the Broward General Heart Center of Excellence in Fort Lauderdale. Kenigsberg revitalized the clinic with physician oversight not before provided. The clinic is open from 8am-1pm and allows the doctor to not only treat patients who have difficulty finding treatment facilities that will care for them, it also allows him to pick up on problem areas not previously found such as arrhythmias, device and lead malfunctions, etc.

On Thursdays, Kenigsberg attends another clinic that he started at Broward General called the Indigent Electrophysiology Clinic located on the 1st Floor of the Outpatient Clinic. There he performs follow up on patients' post EP procedures and evaluates others with cardiac arrhythmias, palpitations, syncope and dizziness, sparing the patient and the county astronomical hospital admission costs, timely processes, and lengthy hospital stays. "Everyone is entitled to healthcare. I do what I can to provide quality care for those who need", says Kenigsberg. The Indigent Electrophysiology Clinic is open 1pm-4pm every Thursday.

Kenigsberg's private practice specializes in the diagnosis and ablation of arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation, Supraventricular Tachycardia, and Ventricular Tachycardia and the implantation of devices including single chamber, dual chamber and biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as implantable loop recorders. Additional services include Direct Current Cardioversion, Laser Lead Extraction, and Tilt Table Testing. For more information, contact 954-678-9531.
