/24-7PressRelease/ - HOUSTON, TX, February 14, 2007 - Dallas area resident Aimee Halleman spent three months desperately looking for her lost dog Brewster. She searched her neighborhood, ran an ad in the local newspaper, and posted flyers in an attempt to find her missing dog. Little did she know it would take nine months and the help of a lost dog website for her family to be reunited with Brewster.

During her initial search for Brewster, Aimee also listed her lost dog on FidoFinder.com [http://www.fidofinder.com], a lost and found dog website. Though she was contacted via the website by several people in the first days of Brewster's absence, none of the leads panned out and Brewster remained missing. Brewster was missing from the Halleman family for a total of nine months before being reunited on an emotion-filled evening.

A couple had found Brewster wandering their apartment complex and immediately realized he was lost. They diligently searched for the lost dog's owners, eventually turning to lost and found dog websites. The couple, Kenny and Lavina, had no way of knowing that the dog they found had originally been lost 9 months prior to them taking him in.

Through the lost dog listings on Fido Finder, Kenny was able to contact Aimee about the dog he found, which matched her lost dog's description. Aimee was skeptical due to the amount of time that had passed since Brester was lost. She couldn't fathom her dog wandering for 9 months. Kenny and Aimee discussed the found dog's appearance over the phone and Aimee tried to hold back her enthusiasm over the possibility that Brewster had finally been found.

When Aimee and Brewster finally saw each other, it was obvious to all that a miracle had brought owner and dog back together. Thanks to a caring couple and the use of the Fido Finder website, Brewster was reunited with the Halleman family and their other two dogs.

After the reunion, one question still remained: Where had Brewster been for nine months? Fido Finder founder, Wes Cutshall, explained, "This isn't the first time we've reunited a dog after more than six months of the dog being lost. What we believe happened in Brewster's situation is that the original family who found him wasn't able to properly secure him in their backyard and he simply got loose again."

Aimee offered Kenny and Lavina the posted reward amount for the return of her lost dog. The couple refused, instead asking only if they could visit Brewster sometime in the future. It was an easy request for Aimee to honor in exchange for the selfless act of strangers returning her beloved pet.

Kenny sent an appreciative email to Fido Finder that read, "Without your service there is no way that I would have found this dog's owners."

Fido Finder [http://www.fidofinder.com] is the largest lost and found dog website in the U.S. with thousands of lost and found dogs listed on the website each month.
