Mr. Palmer has an extensive background in maintaining police-community relations and private security. His 30 years of professional experience include 20 years of experience working as a police officer in the New York City Police Department. He is primarily responsible for teaching criminal justice and coordinating with the Union County Police Department. He takes pride in training young people for a career in criminal justice and attributes his success to his strong work ethic and dedication.

A Korean War veteran of three years with the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Palmer received his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice in 1978 and his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1975 from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is affiliated with the New Jersey Association of Criminal Justice Educators, the National Criminal Justice Association and the American Association of University Professors. Mr. Palmer stays current with the trends in his profession by attending seminars and conference.
