Don't Feel Like Going To A Bridal Show: I Don't Blame You!
Boston and RI wedding DJ Ra-Mu and the Crew discusses the pros and cons of bridal shows.

PROVIDENCE, RI, November 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bridal show season is upon us once again and it seems like there are at least 10 bridal shows every weekend until March of 2010. Last week, I heard that IHOP is having a bridal show in December and that the first 50 brides get free pancackes. Just kidding-but not that is far off.

Last year Ra-Mu and the Crew did 15 bridal shows. By the 10th bridal show, I had blisters on my feet, had enough of wedding cake samples, and was tired of saying, "Congratulations, when is your big day?" One man can only say that phrase 10,000 times before he wants to jump off a bridge. Don't get me wrong, people that know me swear that I am the most social person that they have ever met but I refuse to be FAKE and PRETENTIOUS. A permanent fake smile every weekend for four months is enough to make me want to have a PERCOCET sandwich.

I've talked to alot of DJ's and what they like about bridal shows is that usually: BRIDES SHOW UP. The problem is that when a LOT of BRIDES show up at these shows, one on one face time is lost and loud noise and distractions are everywhere. As a bride, you may be trying to talk to a potential vendor when another vendor interrupts you to take a spin on a prize wheel. Daily Double anyone?

Then there's the bridal shows in which 8 and a half brides show up during a blizzard. The vendors are fighting over the 8 and a half women making it difficult for the bride to decide which vendor to go with.

In closing, Ra-Mu and the Crew will be at several bridal shows this season because we love what we do. Beware of prize wheels, cheesy and screaming vendors, and the nine dollar watered down mixed drinks at the bar. If you feel like saving some gas money, there are great online wedding related websites for you to audition your potential vendors in the privacy of your own home. Congratulations and good luck in your search!
