Benbrook, TX, November 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Doris Suyen Torres-Gameiro, NCTM, Piano Teacher for Gameiro Piano Studio, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in piano instruction.
Doris Suyen Torres-Gameiro has 18 years of experience as a pianist and teacher of early childhood music and group piano for children and adults. Since June 2004, she has been teaching her craft to students ages 5 years to adult out of Gameiro Piano Studio, where she is sought after for her ability to teach different styles of music based on student assessments. Currently, she has a stable of 22 students and, since receiving her Nationally Certified Teacher of Music certification from the Music Teacher's National Association in September 2009, she plans to begin enrolling her students in various music festivals held by the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association. In addition to her responsibilities at her piano studio, Ms. Torres-Gameiro enjoys playing as an accompanist at Tarrant County College South and Christ the King Episcopal Church. She previously worked as a file clerk for Altaras and Thompson, P.C.
Ms. Torres-Gameiro received a Masters of Music Education in Piano Pedagogy, for which she received a full assistantship and stipend, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas Christian University in 2009 and 2007 respectively. She is a member of the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association. Her plans for the future include continuing to teach, increasing the number of students enrolled at her studio and teaching at a local university.
