Dovetail Brewery's New Hand-hammered Copper Taproom Lighting Fixtures Pay Homage to Brewing History

Made with Dovetail's over 100-year-old copper brewing vessels from Germany

CHICAGO, IL, November 23, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Dovetail Brewery's popular, dog-friendly taproom (1800 W. Belle Plaine, Chicago; 773-683-1414) are feeling the warm, cozy glow of brewing tradition as they sit beneath new custom-created copper lighting fixtures. Designed and created by Walking Bird USA, a small artisan company based in Collinsville, Oklahoma, the shades of the fixtures were hand hammered from copper, and serve as an homage to the striking copper brewing vessels that have been the mainstay of traditional breweries for centuries. Dovetail's copper vessels are more than 100 years old and from Germany.

"Copper is the soul of the brewery," said Wade Creighton, owner of Walking Bird USA. "We wanted to carry this theme forward as we designed the lighting fixtures for the taproom. They are hand-crafted, one of a kind items that will withstand the test of time. Dovetail exemplifies the same theme by creating amazing hand-crafted beers using methods, materials and ingredients that also have withstood the test of time. We're very proud to be associated with Dovetail Brewery--and we love the beer!"

About Dovetail Brewery

Dovetail Brewery, located at 1800 W. Belle Plaine in Chicago, Illinois, is a craft brewery owned by certified master brewers Hagen Dost and Bill Wesselink, specializing in delicious, balanced beers brewed using traditional German and Belgian brewing methods. Signature beers include unfiltered German-style lagers, traditional Hefeweizen, Rauchbier and Lambic-style sour beers. Dovetail Brewery also produces a variety of special seasonal beers.

At Dovetail, we pride ourselves on designing our beers for all the senses. This means that in addition to having great flavor, body, aroma and aftertaste, we also carefully choose the glassware and design our beers for a large, lasting foam-stand with beautiful lacing after every sip. We strongly recommend serving our beers in our glassware and using a flow control faucet in order to present the beer in its best form.
