PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 03, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/
-- The Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) is the governing body of equestrian sports. As such, the organization is highly regarded--as are the recipients of its several awards. This year, according to HorseChannel.com, over 300 guests attended an awards ceremony that honored the five winners of the highly coveted FEI awards. Dr. Cesar Parra
, a noted equestrian trainer and founder of Piaffe-Performance, congratulates the winners on their accomplishments.
Started in 2009 to showcase the incredible talent that is fostered by the equestrian community, the FEI Awards are considered the top honor in the sport. The president of the FEI explains: "The FEI Awards were launched in 2009 to show the world what extraordinary people there are in the equestrian community and to reward them with public recognition of their work. This year's winners have demonstrated talent, commitment, generosity, and courage and we are extremely proud of them."
At the ceremony, Michael Jung was given the Reem Acra Best Athlete Award, Thomas McDermott was honored with the HSBC Rising Star Award, Sharon Boyce was given the Development Award, Celia Rijntjes was honored with the Best Groom Award, and Courtney King-Dye was given the Against All Odds Award. Held in Istanbul, Turkey, the ceremony's guests included representatives of the 132 member federations of the organization. Additionally, sponsors of the organization and VIPs from Turkey were also present.
Dr. Parra understands the immense honor that accompanies these awards, and he encourages the winners to be proud of their accomplishments and to continue to uphold the values for which these awards were given. As a teacher, Dr. Parra has developed the ability to see both talent and potential in riders, and he knows that these athletes are capable of achieving great things in the future.
"I wish to extend my congratulations to all of those who were honored at the FEI awards," Dr. Cesar Parra comments. "It is thanks to people like you that the sport is growing around the world, and I am confident that with such wonderful athletes at the helm, the sport will continue to gain favor both at home and abroad."
Dr. Parra encourages anyone interested in learning more about equestrian sports, or the FEI, to contact a local equestrian training organization. The principles that such an organization instills into riders are invaluable, and Dr. Parra knows that the bonds built between riders and horses are very dear to the athletes.
A competitive dressage rider and founder of Piaffe-Performance, Dr. Cesar Parra
leads his team in providing full-service equestrian training to the organization's students. Piaffe-Performance is rooted in classical German training methods and Dr. Cesar Parra ensures that each lesson is founded upon the principles of integrity, perseverance, courtesy, self-control, sharing, and strength of character. Dr. Cesar Parra utilizes these values when interacting with students and encourages them to put these principles into practice when working with their horses.---
