Dr. Georges Ephrem Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Interventional Cardiology

He is joining the prestigious adult congenital heart disease program at Emory University to participate in the care of the sickest and most complex cardiac patients.

    SOUTHFIELD, MI, June 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Georges Ephrem has been included in Marquis Who's Who. An award-winning physician recognized by the American Federation of Medical Research and Northwell Health Systems, Dr. Ephrem is an esteemed cardiologist regarded for his research and development in interventional and clinical cardiology and internal medicine. He was the first to conceive fluoro-less contrast-less peripheral endovascular intervention, and developed noteworthy research in red blood cell distribution width as a prognosticator of outcomes in cardiac patients. Dr. Ephrem acted in prominent leadership roles as the chief medical house officer for the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and a cardiology fellow for Northwell Health, formally known as North Shore-LIJ Health System. Now a graduating interventional cardiology fellow from Beaumont Health Systems, he works with the industry's top-performing physicians in his field to further advance the capabilities of science as it pertains to heart disease and disorders. He is joining the prestigious adult congenital heart disease program at Emory University to participate in the care of the sickest and most complex cardiac patients.

Dr. Ephrem is a diplomate of the cardiovascular disease sector of the American Board of Internal Medicine and its certification board for nuclear cardiology. He maintains alignment with the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, for which he served as vice president of the New York fellows' society from 2014 to 2015. To advance his career, Dr. Ephrem achieved a certification in adult comprehensive echocardiography. He notes, however, that none of his successes would have been attainable if not for the solid foundation provided by his education. A graduate of the American University of Beirut, Dr. Ephrem earned a Bachelor of Science with high distinction before going on to achieve an MD and a Master of Science in clinical research methods with distinction from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. In the years to come, Dr. Ephrem intends to continue contributing to the research and development of medical advances in cardiology.
