MARINA DEL REY, CA, November 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Grant Stevens, M.D., FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Los Angeles and founder of Marina Plastic Surgery in Marina del Rey was a featured speaker at the Asian Pacific Association for Laser Medicine & Surgery's recent conference. The group's 14th annual meeting was Nov. 23-25 at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taiwan.

Dr. Stevens' presentation was titled "CoolSculpting: Treatment to Transformation" and highlighted his experience with the patented, non-invasive procedure that selectively reduces fat layers in problem areas using a patented cooling technology. Dr. Stevens was also slated for a press conference in Taiwan on the same subject.

"Patients are seeing a reduction of fat in the treated areas in as soon as three weeks following treatment. It offers dramatic results," Dr. Stevens said.

Marina Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles is the No. 1 CoolSculpting practice in the world, having performed more than 5,000 treatments.

Cleared by the FDA, CoolSculpting gently cools unwanted fat in the body to induce a natural, controlled elimination of fat cells. This reduces bulges in treated areas of the body without harming surrounding tissue. It involves no needles, surgery or downtime. Since the CoolSculpting procedure is non-invasive, patients can resume daily activities, including work and exercise, immediately following treatment.

Dr. Grant Stevens is medical director of Marina Plastic Surgery in Marina del Rey, California. He is a diplomate of The American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of The American College of Surgeons and The International College of Surgeons. Dr. Stevens is director of the USC Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and Aesthetic Surgery Division, on the editorial board of Aesthetic Surgery Journal and on the board of directors of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stevens was recognized by his peers as one of America's Best Physicians in The Guide to Top Doctors. A past chairman of the California Medical Association Advisory Panel on Plastic Surgery, he has received the Special Congressional Certificate of Recognition and the Distinguished Service Citation from the Medical Board of California. An international traveling professor, Dr. Stevens has performed surgery on patients from all 50 states and 63 foreign countries.
