Dr. Heiner Eckert Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Professional Efforts in Health Care

    MUNICH, GERMANY, November 15, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Heiner Eckert has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Recognized for nearly four decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Dr. Eckert parlays his extensive knowledge into his current roles. Upon his commencement, Dr. Eckert began a 25-year tenure as the chief executive officer of Unternehmensgruppe Dr. Eckert GmbH. Today, he serves in two roles: since 2002, he has been an academic director at the Technical University of Munich, and starting in 2013, he became the vice president of BSAZ Biotech. After assuming his role as an academic director, Dr. Eckert earned a Habilitation and a Privatdozent from the Technical University of Munich.

During the course of his lengthy and notable career, Dr. Eckert, an academic administrator, director, lecturer and scientific researcher, has achieved much. He holds patents for invention of Eckert hydrogenation catalysts and solid triphosgene, which is used as a safe substitute for the toxic gas phosgene. In 2015, he was the recipient of two separate awards: the Qianjian Friendship Award and the West Lake Friendship Award. Additionally, he has been named to Marquis' Who's Who in the World on seven different occasions.

In order to maintain a connection to his field, Dr. Eckert affiliates himself with Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker and the American Chemical Society. In 2005, he had the opportunity to give back to his alma mater through Bund der Freunde der Technischen Universitat Munchen. Looking toward the future, Dr. Eckert intends to experience continued growth and success in his roles with his alma mater and BSAZ Biotech.
