MIAMI BEACH, FL, November 19, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jeffrey Neitlich, Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of diagnostic medicine.

With 19 years of professional experience, Dr. Neitlich specializes in the areas of abdominal imaging, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, interventional procedures, and three-dimensional and virtual imaging. As chairman of the radiology department, he is responsible for overseeing 20 radiologists, working on the interdisciplinary department, diagnosing medical conditions and analyzing reports. He also oversees an academic radiology department where he trains new doctors in diagnostic radiology and abdominal imaging.

A recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award from Yale Medical School and Hospital of Saint Raphael, Dr. Neitlich was listed as one of America's Top Radiologists in 2007 and in the World Who's Who. He has co-authored five papers with his wife, Dr. Tyler Neitlich, who is the chief of abdominal radiology and resident program director at Mount Sinai. His passion for radiology inspired him to become involved in his profession and he attributes his success to hard work, good leadership skills, his interest in teaching, and being artistic and visual.

Dr. Neitlich received his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1989 and completed post-graduate coursework in Abdominal Radiology at Yale University. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society of Uroradiology, the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiology and the Florida State Medical Society. He aspires to continue his research and present it nationally to assist and improve healthcare and radiology as well as develop new techniques.
