Dr. Basso is a skilled educator with a strong educational foundation. In 1974, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the Institute Tecnologico de Aeronautica in Brazil. He later decided to earn a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in economics from the New School for Social Research in New York City. In the early 1990s, he completed postgraduate work at Bielefeld University in Brazil. Dr. Basso was a fellow of the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development from 2000 to 2014. In light of his achievements, he was chosen to be featured in the 33rd edition of Who's Who in the World.
