Casper, WY, August 29, 2008, Dr. Lida Prypchan, Attending Psychiatrist for the Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of the Wyoming Behavioral Institute, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of psychiatry.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in psychiatry, Dr. Prypchan specializes in adult, adolescent and child psychiatry. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her father who was a psychiatrist and attributes her success to her hard work. She considers the five years of research she completed at the World Psychiatric Association to be the highlight of her career. Prior to joining the Wyoming Behavioral Institute, she worked as a research associate at Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic. A published author, she has written more than 150 scholarly articles and received the National Award for Scientific Journalism in Venezuela on three separate occasions. Alongside her sister, Christina, Dr. Prypchan is in the process of creating a website called Psychiatry, Philosophy and Art—the website is set to launch on July 4, 2008.

Dr. Prypchan completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry and her residency in general adult psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree from the Universidad de Carabobo, Venezuela in 1986 and completed her residency in psychiatry at Universidad Central de Venezuela. She received her MD revalidation from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates in 1994 and is a member of Soka Gakkai International, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
