Federman Outstanding Clinical Educator by the Harvard Medical Class of 2000; the Golden Apple Teacher of the Year 2001 by the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, and was named as a Senior Fellow of the Oliver Wendell Holmes Society, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Meeks was a pioneer in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and is an internationally recognized leader in arthroscopic knee surgery. Dr. Meeks earned his degree at the University of Michigan. During his five decades of practice, Dr. Meeks has been an Assistant Clinical Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Meeks also serves as a course director in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He has become a respected lecturer and author in his field. Dr. Meeks is an emeritus member of the International Arthroscopy Association and the North American Spine Society.
He is certified by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Back Society. Dr. Meeks is the president and co-founder of Meeks and Zilberfarb Orthopedic Associates Inc. in Brookline, MA. He is on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2008, he was honored by the Consumers Research Council of America as one of "Americas Top Orthopedists".
