Dr. M. Ruth D. Harris is a 40-year seasoned expert in the instruction of courses related to education and agriculture. At Virginia Tech, she was responsible for teaching and managing agricultural and reforestation projects in Africa and Armenia. In addition, she is a professional painter, specializing in oil, portrait and watercolors. As she moves forward in her career, she intends to continue to rely on the support of her family.
Dr. Harris holds a doctorate degree from The University of Georgia (1973) and a master of arts in financial management. She has completed coursework in art at Virginia Tech and the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia (the Torpedo Factory).
