Dr. Marianne Elia Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Quality Management

Dr. Elia has over 25 years of progressive management and senior leadership experience in the aerospace/defense and CPG industries. She is currently a member of the leadership team within the corporate food safety and quality office at Maple Leaf Foods and is directly reporting to the chief food safety officer and senior vice president of quality and six sigma. Dr. Elia's accountabilities include leading the development and implementation of Maple Leaf Foods' new standard for Food Safety and Quality Management System. Prior, she has held several senior management and technical leadership positions with Litton Industries, AlliedSignal Aerospace and Honeywell Aerospace. During her 9 years at Honeywell, Dr. Elia held senior line and staff positions.

Dr. Elia is a graduate of McMaster University with a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry. In addition to being an expert in quality management, her other expertise areas include Technical Shared Services, Operations and Process Engineering, Product and Process Assurance, Program Management, Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Restructuring, Business Process Re-engineering, Strategic Sourcing including outsourcing and off-shoring and General Management. With this impressive academic and professional background, Dr. Elia has solidified her talents for building strong teams to deliver results by effectively applying her cross-functional business knowledge and strong lateral thinking.

Dr. Elia enjoys participation in leading industry groups and has been featured as a guest speaker at several industry events and conferences including those hosted by The Conference Board, Safe Food Canada and the International Quality and Productivity Center. She is a member of the American Society for Quality, the International Association for Food Protection and the International Quality and Productivity Center. Dr. Elia attributes her success to her beliefs in never losing sight of goals, team building and hard work.
