- Chicago, IL, August 1, 2008, Dr. Monique D. Morehead, Senior Manager of Medical Information for TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Takeda America Holdings, Inc., has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of pharmaceutical services.
With more than 10 years of professional experience, Dr. Morehead specializes in the areas of gastroenterology and medical education and communications. She is primarily responsible for the development of medical responses in reply to inquiries from healthcare providers and consumers. Additional responsibilities include developing clinical dossiers and supporting various internal teams. She considers being honored with the Excalibur Award and the Will-Hall Saiyushu MVP Award, on several occasions, to be her greatest professional accomplishments at TAP.
A past participant in the poster presentation showcase of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacist Midyear Clinical Meeting, Dr. Morehead has presented on quality improvement projects in the hospital setting and pharmaceutical care in diabetes. In recent years, she has made oral presentations to managed care organizations and regional pharmacy professional associations on various topics including women's and men's health, gout and hyperuricemia and pharmacy practice topics. She stays current with the trends in her profession by enrolling in continuing education courses, attending conferences and reading medical and industry related publications and feels that providing universal health benefits is the most important issue facing her profession today.
