Dr. Acs specializes in hematology and excels in treating lymphoproliferative diseases and gastrointestinal malignancies. His responsibilities also include caring for anemic patients and patients with bleeding disorders, and conducting clinical research on a wide variety of cancers. Dr. Acs has received the Best Student Award, the Pro Scientia Award and the Gold Medal Award for research and educational work, and he attributes his success to his work ethic. He became involved in his profession because he was inspired by his parents, who are also physicians. Dr. Acs earned his MD in 1993 and his Ph.D. from the National Cancer Institute in 2000.
