ANGELES, Puerto Rico, October 9, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Pilar Enid Cordero-Montalvo, former Counselor, Director of Counseling and member of various Chancellor office committees at the University of Puerto Rico, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of academic, personnel and vocational counseling.

With more than 25 years of professional experience Dr. Cordero-Montalvo specializes in counseling and is responsible for educating students, consulting and advising. She is also an advisor for the Alliance Project between the University of Puerto Rico and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Dr. Cordero-Montalvo became involved in her profession because of her interest in counseling and attributes her success to her motivation and dedication. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.

A Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Cordero-Montalvo received her Doctorate in Education from Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus in 2003 and earned certification as a Developmental Education Specialist from The Kellogg Institute, Appalachian State University, North Carolina, U.S. in 2004. She received her Master's Degree in Education and her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary School Education and certification as a Junior Education Teacher from Catholic University.
