Prior to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Bart was the president of Investment Properties Brokerage, Inc., from 1988 to 2003, a salesperson for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services from 1984 to 1987, an assistant professor of housing for the University of Maryland from 1980 to 1984, and a contributor to the President's National Urban Policy Report to Congress in 1980. Her longevity in the field is a testament to her hard work and passion for the industry. In fact, Dr. Bart co-founded Commercial Real Estate Women of Baltimore as a way to empower female professionals in a male-dominated field.

In the same light, she affiliates with the United States Green Building Council to sustain herself as a leader in the contracting field.
