He has been awarded more than 20 teaching awards including the National Golden Apple award by the American Medical Student Association, research grants from the ALS association, and has been inducted into Sigma Xi, Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. He was also named a fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia - one of the oldest professional medical organizations in the country. He was named Resident of the Year by the Cleveland Clinic of Florida.

Dr. Govindarajan earned an MD from Bangalore Medical College and completed a fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He remains at the top of his field by affiliating with the American Medical Association, the American Association for Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology. Looking ahead, Dr. Govindarajan intends to continue providing top-of-the-line neurological care while taking on additional lecturing roles.
