Dr. Rochunga Pudaite Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

Dr. Pudaite is responsible for translating the Bible in the Hmar language of northeast India, and helping several tribes translate the Bible in their languages including Darlong, Hrangkhol, Chorei, Rongmei Naga and Dzongkha of Bhutan.



    /24-7PressRelease/ - Colorado Springs, CO, August 9, 2008, Dr. Rochunga Pudaite, Founder and Chairman of Bibles for the World, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Bible education and administration.

With an expertise in educating and training people, Dr. Pudaite is responsible for translating the Bible in the Hmar language of northeast India, and helping several tribes translate the Bible in their languages including Darlong, Hrangkhol, Chorei, Rongmei Naga and Dzongkha of Bhutan. He and his organization have mailed Bibles, individually packaged and addressed, to 19 million homes in 110 nations, including one million copies to the Soviet Union under Indo-Soviet Cultural Pact of 1971. Providing free Bibles is one of Dr. Pudaite's greatest professional accomplishments.

Dr. Pudaite has authored several books including My Billion Bible Dream, The Book That Set My People Free, The Dime That Lasted Forever, Jesus the Prince of Peace and The Education of the Hmar People. His story, based on the book, God's Tribesman by James and Marti Hfley, was made into a major motion picture in Hollywood titled, "Beyond the Next Mountain."

Dr. Pudaite was born in a remote mountain village of Senvon, Manipur, India and went through hardships to receive his elementary education. He graduated from Allahabad University, and studied Biblical Theology at Wheaton College Graduate School of Theology in Illinois and later earned his Master's Degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Pudaite holds a Doctor of Laws from Malone University in Ohio, and Doctor of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University. Currently, he and his wife sponsor 40 schools in northeast Indian with nearly 10,000 children enrolled.
