    PASADENA, CA, June 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Steven Guertin has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Driven by his passion for radiation engineering, Dr. Guertin celebrates nearly two decades working with the NASA field center as a physicist/engineer. With a focus on research and development, he demonstrates his expertise in performing radiation effects testing of electronics, developing and authoring qualification plans, test plans, and test reports, developing test approaches, and assessing system and component performance in various radiation environments. His demonstrated ability to execute technical and programmatic oversight responsibilities has enabled Dr. Guertin to establish a reputation of professional excellence. His other noteworthy projects include those surrounding his special focus on radiation effects in microprocessorss, development of test software and hardware, engineering management and failure investigations.

To support his career aspirations through education, Dr. Guertin attended California State Polytechnic University and the University of California. He achieved a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and physics in 1998, a Master of Science in physics in 2003, and a Ph.D. in physics in 2008. A believer that success comes from continued professional development, he has made it a point to remain involved with industry organizations. Currently, Dr. Guertin is a member of IEEE, through which he has served in a number of capacities, including chairing of the single event effects, devices and integrated circuits session of the IEEE Nuclear and Space Radiation Effects conference, as well as chairing similar sessions in other radiation effects meetings. As he looks ahead to the next phase of his career, he intends to continue researching and developing projects with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to further the capabilities and impact of NASA.
