Dr. Walter L. Hogan Honored for Accomplishments in Medicine

    MOBILE, AL, August 7, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Walter L. Hogan, Physician and Professor for the College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medicine.

With 52 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Hogan specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and clinical and ambulatory care. As a physician and a professor for the College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama, he is responsible for conducting orientation lectures and classes to medical students and residents and working in the department of obstetrics and gynecology. Prior to joining the University of South Alabama, Dr. Hogan served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. He attributes his success to his hard work.

Dr. Hogan received his MD from the University of Alabama in 1957. He is a member of the Southern Medical Association, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American Medical Association, and is a former president of the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The reciipient of a teaching award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, he hopes to continue teaching.
