An alumnus of Busan National University, Case Western Reserve University, and Sejong University, Dr. Jung holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration, an MBA, and a Ph.D. In order to remain current with changes in his field, he affiliates with the Financial Psychology Association, the Financial Therapy Association, and the Korea Financial Psychology Association. Throughout his career, he has contributed his knowledge to many initiatives, including the invention of the NPTI, a financial psychology diagnosis system, which was the first of its kind. Dr. Jung has also achieved many awards for his work in the field. In 2013, he won the Invention Award from the Korea Financial Therapy Association.
