/24-7PressRelease/ -- UCC Demons Rookie Power Forward Jerrah Young is making additions to his basketball resume as if he's a veteran already. Young's name is on the ballot for the 2008-2009 Ireland Superleague's MVP Award.
He's also up for other team awards with the organization such as the UCC Demons 2008-2009 MVP Award and the team's 2008-2009 Most Improved Player Award as well. This is just another accomplishment that Young can add to his repatwa of awards he's received since turning pro. Earlier in the season, he received the league's Southern Conference Player Of The Month Award back in December and just a few weeks ago lead his team to a National Cup victory.
Young currently is putting up numbers that blow away his production while at the University of Toledo. He's averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds per game for the Demons while shooting 53% from the field and 67% at the free throw line. He also has 33 steals and 30 block shots on the season.
