Attributes such as Innovation, Crisis and Risk Management, Persistency, Leadership and Adaptability may seem obvious to many that work in business but EA Worldwide Acquisitions reveal being a 'B' Student at school may offer an insight into how successful an entrepreneur may be.

Ken Sundheim, President of KAS Placement, an executive search firm in NYC agrees, "After hiring, managing, leading and sometimes firing recent college graduates and interns, it has become evident to me that the honors student is too obedient, while the average student is mostly too complacent to be an entrepreneur or to make it at an entrepreneurial firm in this economy."

"Certain industries are without doubt at a disadvantage during the recovery period of an economic downturn so it makes sense that those individuals who are not well educated in entrepreneurship are less likely to succeed. What I think it is interesting to look at is the difference in mentalities between students who have graduated with A, B or C grades," says Josh Cote, MD at EA Worldwide Acquisitions.

'A' students tend to follow structure well; they are planners and effectively manage time. EA Worldwide Acquisitions believes an area this student struggles with is the ability to evolve with change. 'C' students in general have some positive characteristics of entrepreneurs such as being creative, having the ability to manage change and tend to be very personable individuals, some concerns with this student are the lack of commitment to follow projects through to the end. It has been noted that individuals with learning disabilities such as dyslexia are an exception to this theory.

EA Worldwide Acquisitions see 'B' students as having the best-rounded characteristics for entrepreneurship. A successful business owner or entrepreneur understands change is inevitable and adapts well to market trends and economic pressures. 'The average 'B' student in most cases has a good level of discipline, thinks strategically, plans for different outcomes and can think outside the box' adds Josh Cote of EA Worldwide Acquisitions.

If the success of an entrepreneur could be predicted, perhaps considering their grades from school could indicate their odds for success. EA Worldwide Acquisitions appreciate there are too many variables to prove this premise but points out it is an interesting theory for discussion.
