/24-7PressRelease/ - June 01, 2007 - Natural Artist is a new range from Early Learning Centre made with environmentally friendly materials. The wood comes from sustainable, well-managed forests and the gorgeous packaging is made form recycled cardboard.

Forest-Friendly Wood -
All of the wood used in this range complies with the Early Learning Centre Forest Friendly Wood policy. This means it is made from wood that has been certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC)*.

The forest of origin has been independently inspected, evaluated and approved by the FSC. The wood is also independently audited throughout the supply chain to ensure that only FSC wood has been used in Natural Artist products. ELC pencils, pens, paintbrushes, stamps and wooden crayon holder all use FSC wood. Look out for the FSC logo on the product packaging.

The Natural Artist Recycled Colouring Paper is made from 70% post-consumer recycled material and 30% pre-consumer recycled material. The ELC Natural Artist recycled Envelopes are made from 100% post-consumer recycled material and the cards are made from 70% post-consumer and 30% pre-consumer material.

The [url=http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-421972_Natural Artist Pencil Tin[/url] contains two recycled newspaper pencils and four natural-rubber erasers with cute woodland characters. An example of how everyday items that are thrown into the bin can be recycled into new products - in this case saving trees!

Recycled packaging -
The cardboard packaging used for the Natural Artist products is all made from 100% post-consumer recycled material, which can also be recycled again. The glue used in the new Natural Artist range comes in a plastic bottle (PET) which is made from at least 25% recycled PET (RPET). This saves precious natural resources. The plastic bottle is also easy to recycle as most local authorities will recycle this type of plastic.

As recycling waste and packaging is only good for the environment if a suitable market can be found for the recycled material, Early Learning Centre want to make it easy for customers to recycle their packaging and give support to the recycling industry by using recycled material in packaging wherever possible.
